Glitter in the Air -- A Klaine Fic

----

[ Once in your life you find someone, who will turn your world around. Pick you up when you are feeling down. - Everytime We Touch ]

----

" Come on! I'll be off my Warbler duties! I won't even be in uniform! I'm skipping school with him today-- " the voice seemed aggravated, but the younger boys eyes wouldn't open.

" Mickenly doesn't even have school today! And... He really needs this. I know how much he loves you guys, and he really needs this-- yes. It's about that still..... Just come to the mall with us? To distract him? Please? He'd love it--- that's great! Call the other girls, and a few of the guys if you want. He'd really love it. Great-- see you then. "

Kurt's eyes were now open, though his face showed signs of his drowsiness. " Mmmm... Blaaaine... " he groaned looking at the boy who was sitting on the edge of his own bed, but was now moving to knell next to the countertenor's.

" Good morning sweetheart. " the soloist greeted, pushing back the boys brown locks gently before kissing his forehead. " Did you sleep well? " he asked, earning an adorably childish nod as an answer. " You need to get ready here soon Hun, I asked to spend the day off campus. You need to relax. "

" So... You're taking me out on a date... ? " Kurt asked, his partner nodding, " Yes, you could say that... "

" Then who were you on the phone with...? "

" You'll find out soon enough love. Just get ready for the day, then we can go get some coffee and go to the mall. I know you've been itching to go shopping. " the warbler chuckled, being rewarded by a giggle and a nod from his blushing boyfriend. The former boy leaned down, placing a sweet kiss on the other's lips, before moving away from the bed and to another part of the small dorm, giving Kurt some room.

----

Sitting in the center of the small coffee house, the two boys seemed disconnected from the rest of the world. Blaine's whole arm was stretched across the table, his hand gently intertwined with that of his boyfriend. He gave the other boy a teasing smile, raising his coffee to his lips.

" Ugh. Blaaaineeeee. " the other boy whined, though he was smiling widely, " why won't you tell me who we are meeting todaaaaaay... " though he already had an idea, he hated it when his boyfriend kept secrets from him.

" I'm not telling babe, you'll just have to be patient. Okay....maybe I'll give you a hint... " he teased, leaning forward towards the brown haired boy, smiling widely. The other boy followed in suit, finding himself with his lips pressed against Blaine's. He was so shocked that Blaine had so much confidence that he could kiss him in the middle of a coffee shop, in Ohio none-the-less. It made his heart stop. And Blaine being a good kisser didn't help him regain his breath any faster.

" You are so adorable, Kurt. " the soloist whispered before pecking the other boy on the lips once more, and pulling back, admiring the blush that had formed on Kurt's cheeks.

" Now finish up, we don't wanna be late~ "

---

The two boys had been at the mall for a total of one hour, Blaine' hand, that wasn't holding onto that of his boyfriend,  was full of various shopping bags.

" Blaaaaineeee! " Kurt groaned, " I refuse to let you buy me anything else! This is insane! You are spoiling me! " Kurt complained, though he honestly didn't mind being spoiled, he just hated how much money Blaine was wasting on him, he could buy his own clothes.

" Did you ever think that I liked spoiling my boyfriend? " Blaine asked, pulling the aforementioned boy closer to him. " I like seeing how excited you get when you look at clothes, I can't help it. It's adorable. You're adorable, Kurt. "

The shorter boy chuckled finding the blush that came to the countertenor's cheeks absolutely adorable. The two caught each other's gaze and held it, simply smiling at each other, fingers still intertwined. Though the moment was short lived as some one stormed pass them, very obviously shoving Kurt into his boyfriend, growling hurtful, terrifying words as he passed.

Blaine's hazel eyes darkened as he watched the man walk away, since it was a school day no one was really there at the mall, minus the Mickenly kids who had the day off and the two Dalton students, it was easy to spot the man.

" Just... Just forget about it Blaine. " Kurt spoke, still being held close by his boyfriend, though Blaine hadn't seemed to noticed that while he had been so angry, the brown haired boy had hidden his face in the crook of the older boy's neck. " It's fine. I - I'm... Fine. " Though as he said this, his whole body shook and his voice faltered. Which only angered the curly haired boy more, his hold on Kurt becoming more protective as he tried to move them both towards the side so the were not standing in the center of the walk way.

" Kurt... Babe... I'm so... Sorry... " He started, reaching up to push a stray piece of hair back into it's perfectly coifed position. " I am so sorry... " he repeated, trying to no only calm down the boy infront of him, but calm himself down as well.

" It's not your fault... W - we're gay... Our... Our lives are just... Just going to be horrible... " Kurt whispered into the flesh of Blaine's neck, his eyes shut tightly and his hands clutching the back of the other boy's jacket.

" Kurt... It's not. I'm not going to let it be horrible. I am going to protect you. I promise. You're life is not going to be horrible! Those people at my old school who told me that? They were wrong. 100 percent wrong! " he said, lifting the others head, cupping both of his cheeks in his palms, and wiping at the boys tears with his thumbs. " I couldn't ask for anything better than this. This is perfect. Being with you is perfect, Kurt. And no one can convince me otherwise... " he tilted his head just enough so their foreheads touched, a simple sign that expressed more emotion than anything Blaine could have ever said in that moment. " I love you, Kurt. " he whispered, smiling sweetly at the other boy. They were the only two in the world at that moment, and nothing would change that. Blaine knew Kurt was the only one who mattered to him, and vice-versa.

" I love you too, Blaine. " Kurt whispered, his voice much more stable now then it had been.

" I think... " the smooth voice of the soloist broke through the silence easily, " ...you can figure out who we are meeting now. " the boy said shooting the other a sweet smile.

----

One would never have thought that so much noise could be kept in such a dark room. He wasn't saying the room was small, it was far from it. But the organized chaos inside astonished him.

" It's like you've never been here before.. " Blaine chuckled, squeezing his boyfriends hand. " It's cute. "

" Well.... I came here when I was younger, but I really never had a reason to come. It's changed a lot. " he replied, leaning closer to the other boy so he didn't have to yell over all the noise. " But, why are we here? "

Before Blaine could respond, his hazel eyes wandered off to somewhere deeper in the arcade. He looked back at the, slightly, taller boy, pointing in the direction he wanted the boy to look.

" Oh my god! " Kurt breathed, a large smile stretching across his face, before he stepped forward, all but dragging his boyfriend behind him. " You didn't! " he looked at Blaine, then back to the others.

" He did. He called us all this morning, from your phone, and told is we had to come see you today. " Kurt's bestfriend, Mercedes informed. Her eyes narrowed when she looked at Blaine, angry that she hadnt been told why they all needed to cheer Kurt up, but she smiled brightly at Kurt, pulling him into a hug.

Blaine reluctantly let the other boy join the group of Mickenly kids, a small smile tugging at the corner of his mouth, though his eyes gave away the sadness and pity he was trying to hide. He knew he'd just have to get past it though, to make sure Kurt felt better, and was happy.

----

They'd been in the arcade for what seemed like hours, the girls dragging Kurt towards many different games.

" Kurt! Come play this~! " the self proclaimed captain of New Directions called, waving for the countertenor to come forward. The taller boy gingerly stepped onto the obnoxiously lit platform, watching the songs go by on the screen in a blur of color. " You are all going to kill me, you know I can not dance! " he complained, making Blaine chuckle as he leaned on his arms, which were folded on top of the railing that was attached to the platform his boyfriend and his friend where standing on.

" Come on Kurt! You can try something harder than that! " some of the girls teased, laughing along with the brown haired boy. Though, before he could say anything back, his boyfriend stepped on a series of arrows, before smiling and placing a sweet kiss on Kurt's lips, " Good luck. I'm routing for you. "

After loosing track of half a dozen arrows, and forfeiting the game to Brittany, Kurt returned to his boyfriend, smiling as he leaned into Blaine's side.

" I think you did great, babe. " he reassured, pulling the boy closer against his side.

" Thanks-- "

" Hey! Hummel! Anderson! Come over here a second! " they heard Puck call from a game, which was a game where you had to throw basketballs into the hoop, in a certain amount of time as the hoop moved.

Kurt rolled his blue eyes, being pulled along by Blaine, who seemed enthusiastic about this new game, but Kurt just stayed off to the side, watching the other Warbler have his fun.

" Hey, come try this. " Blaine said, waving him over. Though reluctant, the other boy came forward, finding himself being guided by Blaine. The shorter warbler's arms surrounded him, guiding the boy in his attempt to make a basket, which seemed to help, since the ball did make it through their target. " I think you have a talent in sports, babe. First football then cheerleading, now this. I'm impressed. " his boyfriend marveled, arms folding themselves around Kurt's waist, pulling him into a tight, comforting hug.

" Just because I don't like sports, doesn't mean I'm not good at them, love. "

" I have no doubts of that. " his boyfriend replied with a small chuckle.

-----

It surprised Kurt how long the day stretched out to be in the end, after spending what seemed like hours at the arcade, the girls took Kurt ( who had dragged Blaine with him ) shopping, while the boys went to watch some movie. Though, Blaine hadn't complained, watching Kurt and his friends shop was quiet amusing, and Blaine was sure Kurt was trying to tell him something about his wardrobe from all the clothes he had made him try on. But, again, Blaine wasn't complaining. He loved the way Kurt's eyes lit up when he agreed to try something on, so it was all worth it in the end.

But after the long drive back to Dalton, the boys found themselves exhausted.

" Let's put in a movie. " Blaine suggested, as Kurt sat on the small love seat in their dorm, looking at the other boy.

" That sounds relaxing. "

" Anything you want? Sound of Music? Rent? "

" How about Harry Potter...? " he asked covering his mouth as he let out a yawn.

" Am I mistaken? Kurt Hummel is actually letting me, Blaine Anderson, watch Harry Potter? I must be dreaming! "

" No, your not dreaming, I just think I'm gonna be passed out before you go all fanboy... " the countertenor admitted, wrapping himself up in a blanket, before resting his chin on his knees. " So put it in, and come over here. "

And so he did, racing to put the movie in and rush to his boyfriends side, letting Kurt lay against his chest. The movie hadn't even, really, started when Kurt fell asleep, and Blaine couldn't help but laugh, kissing the top of his head, before gently carrying him to his bed. He was careful not to wake the boy, pulling the blanket over him and tucking him in tightly. Finally, Blaine leaned down to kiss his boyfriend's forehead, smiling against his hairline.

" ... Mom...? " he heard Kurt mutter, voice drugged with sleep.

" No, sweetie... " Blaine whispered, though it hurt to admit this to the boy he loved, and who he knew lost his mother at a young age. " It's me.... go back to bed... You gotta get up and go to class in the morning. " he said, brushing the boy's brown hair out of tear-filled blue eyes. " I love you, Kurt Hummel. " he whispered against the boy's forehead, though he knew the boy wouldn't sleep, now that he'd thought of his late mother.

" Goodnight, Blaine. " the countertenor said, dismissing the boy, but he smiled warmly, as if to tell him he'd be okay.

" Goodnight, babe. "

Blaine had never returned to his movie, he let it run as he sat cross-legged on his bed, his guitar resting on his lap, but he never played anything, afraid to wake his sleeping boyfriend. He only watched, making sure that Kurt was alright before heading off to bed himself.

I'm sorry if you think they are out of character, or at least as much as I do. D:

Well, here is the next chapter, which turned out like... ten times longer than I expected it to. D:

I wanted you all to know, the chapter names, happen to be the song lyrics, so. XD; It's like they are the theme of the chapter or whatever~ |D;

I apologize in advance if you see any typos, I type these all up on a ipod touch, which has auto-correct that I don't always catch.
